Random Vocaloid

Actually this is mostly a test to see if my new setting for twitterfeed works, but the recent vocaloid songs on the top charts aren't too bad this time.

its 40 meters again. Which reminds me, I don't I remembered to download his other song... :V Oops oh well. Well this one is pretty bumpy. Kind of nice to listen to, probably the same aura as toriniko city. (I think I spelled that wrong :V)

Title sounds like "Barometer" so I'll use that.

Vocarock, not usually a big fan of it but it has a good melody so its not too bad. Title says "GRINDING JUSTICE" according to google translate because I'm too pathetic to understand the kanji on its own.

A weird song. Sounds terrible on startup but after the chorus comes along it seems to get pretty catchy.

As if you couldn't figure out from the first couple lines (or the picture itself), the title of the song is "Siren People".

Atelier Totori (Still Unfinished)

I need to beat the game at least once already, but I always get to some point where I'm like "durrr now what" and have no idea what to do next. Partly because I want to leave enough interest in the game to play a 2nd or 3rd round. (3rd for DLC, or what limited amount there is)

Equipment carries over, so I focused a lot on making great accessories... then I progressed a little further in the game and discovered there's even BETTER accessories.... ah screw it I'll figure something out the second time around. Derp :V

Much to my amusement I found out hilarious over-recovery trick in Atelier Totori again. Unlike Atelier Rorona, if you try to register items at a store with special traits that autorecover you when you're under 50% health or if you get it, it removes those traits so I thought I couldn't do the cheap trick of buying godlike items in stores any longer...until I discovered that loliloli homs don't require any items for synthesis, only pie, and create carbon copies of the item you give to them... so now not only do I have an unlimited supply of auto-heal-on-hit items, I get them for free.

On top of that due to some hilarious alchemy combinations I now have equipment and accessories that can autoheal (on top of its base stats and abilities) thanks to some accidental dragon slaying (and loliloli homs again)... Plus, besides just Totori, Rorona can use these items and traits too...

so now I have two characters which, if they ever get hit, automatically heal themselves (not a lot, but they still auto-heal), and then every turn they regenerate health... :V if it weren't for the fact that healing items are limited by how much I could put in my basket I would have said this game is broken by now.

Well, in contrast to Atelier Rorona which actually IS broken... V: Where are the tera bombs? The squirrels took them! Kill the Squirrels! (I'm not kidding)

EDIT: CONTINUING ON THE TOPIC OF NEAR-BROKENNESS, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY TONICS (the item trait+? and maybe the other + versions too) ARE F'KING AMAZING.

I usually avoid Luka songs (not really on purpose, maybe I just don't like her voice) but this one was #1 on the rankings list so I thought I should check it out. It's not bad, definitely worthy for being #1, so here I post it here.

STANDARD CYCLE IN THE GAME: Start from Dirt Poor.

Dirt Poor >> Synthesize Items >> submit to assignments desk >> synthesize moar items >> Register to shops >> submit to assignments desk >> YES I'M (somewhat) RICH >> buy books >> buy synthesis items including that 1000 cole item you just registered >> Dirt Poor.

ALTERNATIVE CYCLE, branch from "Yes I'M (somewhat) RICH"

>> make weapon/armor that is only very slightly stronger than your current weapon/armor >> buy very useful items for battle >> Dirt Poor again, now with no items to synthesize with >> Waste months going around in circles, getting nearly killed in battle while not even filling up your basket because that would waste even more time >> Synthesize Items, etc.

25.10.11

Requiem

The first GOOD vocaloid song I have heard in a long time. Meaning also the first good GUMI song I've heard in a long, long time.

This song I think actually takes V3 to its maximum potential. Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but from what I heard of other songs that are using V3, they don't sound much different from V2 at all... makes me wonder if they actually did anything different in V3, besides maybe an interface change (to make it easier to use? I dunno, I haven't seen V3 myself).

I think this one isn't bad at all though. GUMI still sounds like GUMI, but there's a distinct enough difference to say that this isn't the original GUMI - some other version. It even has the old version V2 to contrast which you can hear in the middle of the song.

Pretty cool!

スイートフロートアパート

This song's is pretty wacked up and the music itself is kind of repetitive and mediocre, but man, GUMI is so cute. It's just worth watching it for GUMI's random facial expressions.

The apartment-- I mean, the title of the song seems to be something like "Sweet Float Apart(ment)", I think, although I'm pretty sure I got the middle one wrong.

Of course this is great for the half-second GUMI cameo.

Well actually I don't think the song is that great anyway, but the video is very nice. The song isn't bad to say, just maybe not to my tastes.

千本桜

Miku is so pretty~~

The song in itself sounds catchy, but a bit too much like touhou. I think it feels sort of "ripped off" of a touhou-style song, although I can't really say that as completely true since I think this style is just a certain type of genre that this song and touhou both happen to fall into.

Song aside, the video is really great. All the characters are so well drawn. Although what Miku exactly is... is up for question. A miko-police-military girl? :V Also, the theme seems really nationalistic. Not that that's a bad thing, but I guess just because of how the theme of the video and the song seems to go it feels like some propaganda schematic.

The title, I'll make a blatant guess and suggest it says "1000 trees".

MY BAD GOOGLE TRANSLATE SAYS ONE THOUSAND SAKURA TREES. derp. :V

Somehow Nendoroids don't appeal to me as much as real models, but then again in DIVA I didn't find the real models that attractive either... they just sort of stuck after I played the game for a long time. I kind of agree with a lot of points presented here, not just gaming but any kind of activity in general (ie watching anime?). It might just be me but I think people complain too much and don't see the advantage we have in the society today compared to before; they only try to look at what's bad. Criticism isn't bad of course, but just pure insulting without knowing much about how much goes into generation of such products is annoying.

Can't think up a witty title right now.

Luka song. Has a pretty nice beat, can possibly get catchy after listening it to a couple times.

Basically, "Electric Love" GUMI version, renamed to "Electronic Star". I don't know why they bother having a different title with different lyrics... :V well it reached the top charts so why not!

This song sounded pretty good until it got to the chorus, imo. :V Yay for Miku Append!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Witches and Magi

Its ironic how the Madoka anime didn't really stir me at all but I got hyped up and excited about Grief Syndrome. At one point yesterday I was interested in the 3rd stage boss and someone gave me some info on the wiki sites, and then I realized speculating on the witches's magi forms, and magi's witches form (except Sayaka of course). A lot of people have done this already, but I'm just making inferences based on what I saw in the anime and played in Grief Syndrome. Sayaka (and Madoka for that matter) don't get any guesses obviously but she provided a great reference in how the witch relates to the magi, and this is a starting point for theorization. Or BS, term you prefer.

Well obviously (especially on the Magi part) this would probably have quite a bit of spoilers but really, who HASN'T already watched Madoka? :V

Witches as Magi
--
Getrud: The first impression is the Magi was a flower girl. Either she owns a flower shop, was the daughter of a flower shop girl, or really liked flowers. I think regardless she had some association with a flowershop. The next thing particularly noticable (at least in Grief Syndrome) was that there was some obsession with mustaches. Either she had some mustache fetish or someone she knew (and probably liked) had a mustache. This could be someone she idolized, her boyfriend, or (my guess) her father. Going by the father theory, its most likely she made her wish revolved around the father. I could see two possibilities: One is that she loved her father but maybe something happened to him (he's going die, or going far away) and she made her wish to keep her father around. The other is the complete opposite: her father was abusive and she wished her father would disappear. In the former case the catalyst towards witch can easily happen if it became like the latter, that is, the father becomes overprotective or abusive, leading to psychological damage; in the latter case, there could have had some dramatic effect for her father's disappearance, like the arrival of a new father with no changes (and same mustache?) or a family breakdown. She probably either used a whip or shears as a weapon, or even something like both (sharp object at the end of a whip).

Charolette: A typical cheerful sick girl. Probably really liked sweets. Her first form (the one that easily got beaten up) I speculate is more likely a stuffed animal she really liked when she was alive. It was probably given to her by someone she liked. I speculate she has a situation that's probably the opposite of Sayaka, but at the same time similar: She wished herself to become healthy again so she can be with the one she loves, but the one she loves stopped caring for her after she wasn't sick anymore. She's probably the type that stuffs herself when she's depressed to try and not show it. In fact, probably right before she became a witch she had a habit of eating more and more sweets to try and repress her depression, only to have it grow more. After she became a witch she contained herself in the stuffed animal, an indication that she really didn't want anyone to know or bother about her problems. After that "contained" form was destroyed, her true self (her true witch) emerged, free to express her anger and hatred in a ravenous manner.

H.N. Elly (Kristen): This is the witch I take most interest in. It occurred to me immediately in the anime (from the TVs and monitor theme) that she's probably a Hikikommori. Even the name implies it; I didn't need my friend's explanation that H.N. means Handle Name to know that. She has two names, meaning one has to be an alias. A very likely story for her is that she simply wanted to make friends. She didn't know how to express herself very well so she became a magic girl by making a wish to have friends. For a while she was happy because she had friends and she felt like it was a good cause to defeat witches and be a Magi, but over time she realizes her friends are fake. The fakeness of her friends causes her to realize that she never really overcame her problem at all. Furthermore there may have been online drama - perhaps she had online friends before she became a Magi, but something happened that made her lose her online friends later on after she became a Magi. This can be pretty traumatic. So what can she do? Tell people to "Die.". And that's probably what her fake friends did after she said it, since they were puppets anyway. That only furthered her degradation into a witch, who now haunts people and gets people to get together (over the internet most likely!) and have death parties. If you remember the plot, a group of people got the witches kiss to get together and die... very likely a tribute to Elly's request to her fake friends. Its likely her fake friends turn into those angels which hover around Elly's witch (and are even in the background on Elly's screen). Somehow I found Elly to be really tragic, maybe its because I can relate to her hikikomori status. :(

Elsamaria: I can't say too much considering she only has like 10 frames in the anime, and its all from Sayaka going mad and goring her out. In the game she's a b*tch to beat though orz. There are two things that are probably evident: She uses her hands a lot, and she was probably pretty depressed and crying all the time. From that one can possibly infer that first off, she might have been mute. This would mean she had to use her hands to communicate most of the time. The second is that she was a romantic, or was extremely prone to emotional bouts. If this is the case it wouldn't be surprising if she used her wish on something like making someone she liked to love her, or even just understand her. Of course things like this can always go terribly wrong (like "you don't really love me!" or just him leaving after he finally knows what she's talking about) which can lead into her crying her eyes out and turning into a witch. She might also be black (Disclaimer: This is not meant to be a racial statement... on purpose anyway) and that might also have played an effect into her traumatic experience... but that's only if the blackened part of the game had any meaning. The black part might have just been an indication of Sayaka going crazy, so I think that's less of importance than the other parts.

Walpurgis Night: There are rumors going around that this is actually Homura's witch. While that may be fine and true, it would leave out two whole theorizing/BSing sessions for me so I'll ignore that theory for now!
If this witch lives up to her name, it wouldn't be surprising if she was A.) The first Witch, B.) A Queen of some sort, or C.) both. I'm making the assumption that its C. If that were the case, a typical scenario could be that the original Magi was a hero for the country and her country had lived in prosperity for the longest time, until something showed up and destroyed her country. Of course, this could trigger her into becoming a witch (and her death being faked) while also bringing the destruction of the original invaders (or whatever brought about her country's downfall). Likely she became jealous of all other great countries and so she goes on a rampage off to destroy any good succeeding civilization and bring it to ruins. The shadows which she summons could either be her servants or the souls of previous Magi who she defeated (instead of them turning into a witch), which she would then absorb to make herself more powerful.

Magi as Witches
--
Mami: She became a popular character really quickly for obvious reasons. However this means we only have about 3 episodes of information we can work with her. Given the situation of her contract, its actually pretty tricky to think up a situation for her turning into a witch. She has to really think that the life she saved for herself isn't worth living. Perhaps this could be done if someone sacrificed herself for Mami's sake, or she outlives everyone around her. Of course, that didn't happen.
Her witch environment, I speculate, would have a lot of cars driving around and (not surprisingly) occasionally crashing into each other. Lots of BANG sounds. Magi would probably have to blow up the cars trying to run over them as they get to Mami's witch. Mami's witch form, staying true to her original powers, would have guns for arms, legs, and, uh, other significant parts. Likely they are held together by ribbons since Mami seems to have some fascination of ribbons. Additionally, if it has relation to her wish, the ribbons and guns probably regenerate even if they are attacked (her wish to "stay alive" gone awry). There might be some beating heart underneath all the ribbons which Magi would have to get to and destroy in order to defeat Mami's Witch.

Kyouko: The great thing about Kyouko is, her history is already there and ruined! Theoretically if she had been any weaker she would have been a witch by now. Her witch environment probably would be heavily religious based, with crosses and praying people everywhere trying to attack the Magi. I imagine there would also be her spears lying around everywhere as well; heck, they might even be part of the crosses. For her witch... hmm... not sure, a stick person? :V Made out of apples! Or at least an apple for a head, with parts carved out to make a face. She'll probably have lots of spears flinging towards you so you'd probably want to watch out for that.

Homura: I think the interesting thing about Homura is that if she turns into a witch she might not even be aware of it thanks to her powers. Homura's only desire was to save Madoka, and in the event that she failed to do so and turns into a witch... she might as well keep on trying. In fact she might create her own time-space continuum where she lives out her fantasy as having saved Madoka. This would make other Magi have a really hard time trying to get to her since she doesn't even exist on the same time plane. Instead, her witch would have to summon other Magi to their time plane, where they have to live in Homura's fantasy (possibly, living the same day over and over again) forever. Likely they aren't even aware of where the witch is because she might still be in Homura's original human form.
The other issue is even if they figure out she is a witch and do battle with her, she can simply reset time in her dimension to start over. Magi would literally have to destroy the entire dimension -- something on the scale of what Madoka did -- in order to defeat Homura's witch form.

However as I started getting into the song I realize the way they played out this version, its way too serious than what it's originally supposed to be. I was imagining Ai Kotoba to be a lot more playful and fun... this one is just serious "I LOVE YOU" type. Well its not bad, though.

This is such a beautiful song in deceptive cadance. Usually I'm not a big fan of deceptive cadance/minor songs because they sound odd to me but this one is so much fun and upbeat! It's like, playing around in a carnival!!! :D

Arcana Heart 3 (Failing, part 6)

I tried Score Attack mode today, thinking it was some sort of "endless" mode where you fight CPUs over and over again.

Turns out it was just another "boss" mode... with the ending being Parace...

OMG WTF PARACE INSTANT CROSSUPS WITH RIDICULOUS COVERAGE AND INSTANT STARTUP AND NO DELAY ATTACKS

ITS KANNA ALL OVER AGAIN, WITHOUT EVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO GRAB

Not only that every time when I finally get a hit off her and start comboing she just bursts out and its like :V

Eko is such a troll character, both for the user and the opponent. I can't figure out any decent working combos with her, well the wiki provided some. She's pretty funny though. :V And does stupid high damage. Wat. :V

MOAR AMAZING GUMI SONGS

I think this one would be more amazing if I knew what the lyrics were saying. At least ths pictures were pretty and nice. :V

So I think I saw this somewhere and it has to do with stagbeetles and time slipping. Right. according to youtube, "Time-Warped After Chopping My Stag Beetle".

EDIT: Found lyrics here: http://vgboy.dabomstew.com/lyrics.php Man, actually watching the video, I think I would feel really sad watching myself die... not only that, probably scared too. The video itself is silly but that concept in itself seems highly philosophical and makes you worried. I mean come on, you now know you only have 50 years to live? (Well ok, "only" is probably a bad word considering she probably has lived about 16 years so far). Nevertheless... its both fascinating and scary at the same time.

Like a lot of things in life!

嗚呼、素晴らしきニャン生

I'm not even going to try that title :V yes I'm pathetic.

This is a rather cute video about two types of cats, one stray and one house. The song in itself is alright (depending on tastes some might like it, its not particular to mine though) however the video (and in particular, GUMI) is so very cute. Truly just another moeblob piece of work that's enjoyable to watch.

Arcana Heart 3 (Failing, part 2)

Ok I took a look at all the characters and tested them out (as well as a few arcanas). My general evaluation:

-The very first blonde-haired girl on the top right (the one that summons the dark swords) is the absolute easiest character for me to use. Her moves are very intuitive and I can't see how anyone could go wrong with her.

-The magician girl is amazingly awesome!! Too bad I'm not fond of her hairstyle, which is like a boy's hair (and can easily be mistaken as a boy) :(. Also her moves are ridiculous, are you serious, different activation depending on what cards you lay out? :V But in spite of all that I think she's my second favorite now and I'd probably learn her after the Miko girl.

-Speaking of the magician her Mirror Arcana IS SO COOL. It looks SO TERRIBLE TO USE (since it depends on the opponent you're fighting) but it looks SO AMAZING. I feel like I want to use that arcana now. :V

-that demon sister girl scares me.

-mecha china fighter is kind of interesting :V but she seems pretty slow. And lol at the scientist girl nade-nadeing her before the battle. :V

-That one girl with a dog is like.. playing Kano from EFZ. with a dog. :V

-Angel loli is cute but she's such a jerk :V not as much as the swimsuit blob, but still.

-on a similar(?) note I can see how the love girl is such a ditz and can be really annoying in battle. "LOVE PUNCH" wtf

-Conclusion: Mikos are the best! :V hurray for my scrubby 10 hit combo. That uses a dash cancel. :V

Speaking of dash cancels, it looks like they merged ICs with the super bar in this game, and at the same time turned the IC into dash. Well, apparently you can also cancel using the extend force button; that's probably for situations where you don't launch your opponent 50 feet into the air. The launchers seem to let you have stun time long enough so that you can dash cancel and continue comboing them in the air, which is really cool. I think I may develop a habit similar to what I do in efz, where I rarely use the bar and instead use it almost all the time for cancelling and extending my combos. :V

Ok that didn't make sense. I only took 4 pictures overall because I'm a loser.

Pics 1 and 2: miku concert line. I was only amused because they completely blocked the road in front of them (well the road was closed down anyway :V). As seen from the second pic it was more like a square cluster than a single line.

ライトラグ

(The title... Right Rag? Well that seems like an odd title...)

A DECO27 song. This song's melody and song doesn't seem very catchy, but the video is very good and high quality. The voice is also very nice. However, as I said, the song itself just doesn't seem very catchy, so at least for me it doesn't seem like it will catch on. Maybe its because it doesn't really have a easy-flow melody to sing along? Or rather, the tone of the song changes when it reaches the chorus...

Well its not bad, after all its DECO27, but we'll see how well it can catch on.

Miku Concert

Concert Review, Mobile Version!

1. Hologram thing didn't look that great if miku moved further away from you, but I guess that's the limitation of their technology. Their positioning of miku was pretty good though.

2. I didn't know about 4 out of all the songs they played at the concert. Having like more than half of the songs from diva 2nd helped.

3. Clover Club: first song I was surprised they played.

4. Popipo: tony's purpose is fulfilled.

5. Romeo and cinderella: 見えない...

6. Rin, Meltdown: I usually sing along to these songs since no one can hear me, but never for meltdown. Fffff high notes

7. Luka, Let's be friends: あ、見た。

8. World's End Dancehall: Dark Horse song of the concert. In English too! Lol everyone was like" durr I don't know this song" oh you audience guys :V

Looks like I missed this neat song that was on nico ranks recently. There hasn't been many tranquil songs as of late I believe (well, ones I like anyway), so this one is a nice breather in many ways. Obviously since the title is "pianissimo" (to anyone with musical knowledge) one can expect this song to be a rather soft and melodic song, which does exactly as it says. It's probably a keeper in my library. :V

GUMI's Birthday

Holy crap I think there are like 2000 new entries on Pixiv just on GUMI's birthday alone, man I totally regret not checking yesterday for the new GUMI pics.

HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY, GUMI!!

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai

(Spoilers etc.)

I could make a proper review and all that about the characters and plot and etc (Anaru was the best, ending was pretty good, etc.) But there was one thing in particular I seemed bothered about.

As of watching the entire show, I still can't figure out why they used that long title. As it was in my past to think of symbolism in anime (such as AIR), I couldn't really let this pass.

So, I came up with a few theories.

1. There was no meaning to the title at all. It might have been an insignificant event that Menma and the group encountered in the past, but that's it. This would mean there's no real symbolism in the title and that the title was kind of random. This would be a stupid theory to believe (IMO) but probably what most people would think of and just brush it aside.

2. The flower represents Menma's wish, and the fact that they couldn't name it relates to how they couldn't identify the wish Menma was looking for. This is a plot-related theory. It seems to fit quite well, but seems a bit bland. The fact that they were doing so much work (such as "researching" and "studying" fireworks, etc.) sort of relates to how people may want to do lots of work (as adults) to identify a flower. When you were a child you just pointed and asked, "what's the name of this flower?" and people might say "I dunno" and give it up at that. But then as an adult people gain more resources and are able to look things up, online or in the library, to find the actual answer. I think this is similar in a way, in the plot, where they find a viable solution to Menma's wish, even though they don't know what it is.

3. The flower represents the past/tragedy, and the fact that they couldn't name it is because they could never identify the truth behind it. Menma then comes back to help them unravel or uncover the truth, thereby "revealing the flower's name". This eventually reveals things and leads to the ending as we see now.

4. With help from a fellow watcher, I figure out that the flower is actually named "forget-me-not". Of course with that tipoff a whole more plethora of ideas. This can coincide with the third theory mention earlier; since the flower is a forget-me-not, it can mean that the past which everyone tried so hard to forget cannot be forgetten so easily. In a similar case, if you have something on your mind (ie, you see a flower and you want to know its name), even if you distract yourself with things to do, "silly" worries tend to linger and you eventually devote yourself to figuring things out.
...Like why I'm trying to type this post up figuring out what the title means in the first place...
Anyway that's probably what happens with the characters inside the anime. They want to leave the past as is, but since the "problem" was never fully resolved it lingered in their minds. Turns out their "flower" is a forget-me-not, meaning that which they wanted to not deal with anymore, is not something they can throw away so easily... that they should keep the memories in their mind, proceed with life but not ignore that past, but learn from it and embrace it. That their friendship shouldn't be forgotten, that the tragedy should not cloud the true beauty of the joy they had in the past.

Or something like that.

【GUMI extend】 祭囃子

Translator says some festival (Hayashi)?

So, my main question is, what's the difference in voice? Sounds the same to me... I'm going to have to listen to more samples, but for the moment, I am disappoint.

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi

(Possibly spoilers etc? Kept at minimum at least)

Somehow my Utsuro no Hako review was referenced somewhere and I got a ton of traffic (ok... maybe more or less like 4 people) thanks to that...well it wasn't a terribly great review but I thought it was odd anyway.

Ok digression aside, I guess that encouraged me to discuss my thoughts on other novels I read. :V I actually have been reading a good chunk of what's available on baka-tsuki, though most of them I thought were rather mediocre. Tenma is not really any different, but it did have some interesting points here and there that made it particularly amusing.

The one thing I liked most about the novel is the characters. Or rather, two of the characters: Gekkou and his...uh... ditzy lightning girl. (Obviously her name is not important). Gekkou in himself is already a pretty cool character, but I think his pairing with the ditz really pulls through with his personality. Him alone would just make him look dark and emo and out for revenge (...which is true) but the sharp contrast with his partner is rather amusing, and provides an opportunity to put in him a different light.

As I stated, the characters seem to be the strong point in this story. In particular, its rather interesting how they don't just stick to one point of view in the novel, but for each chapter (almost) provide a different scene and a different view in (the appropriately named) the 900 seconds after school (or something like that). This has been done before (Animorphs!) , but I have not seen it a lot in light novels, so its not bad to see it again.

Possibly because of this alternate-view type of thing, the main plot didn't seem that... advanced, and most particularly the ending (given the history that they were revealing to the audience) seemed rather abrupt. The novel seemed to build up this plot that seems like there will be something epic in the end, but... the main enemy turned out to be that weak? It makes you think that they didn't actually defeat the enemy and maybe the enemy will return, but really (and maybe its in the translator's fault) the enemy dies in one or two lines, considering the effort it took before to build everything up.

Characters! With Gekkou put aside, the main princess girly doesn't seem like a bad character at all. I'd had thought she'd be tsundere but she doesn't seem very tsun (just very dere). Still, I can't help but think she's voiced by Kugimiya Rie... why... Argh why Kugimiya why...*ahem* that aside, I like the lightning girl. At least how she acts. Its pretty funny especially when she's next to Gekkou. Probably my least favorite is the main character, but, being a typical protagonist, I can't really say much about that. :V Over fine, normal, mediocre for a protagonist.

Finally, art. I don't think the art is that great, but the princess girly seems very pretty! The way the art is drawn most of the time seems... clumsy, in a way, as if they were not a professional photographer. But its ok. I can imagine the moe. That's good enough. I think. :V

Back from China

What does that mean? Summary of vacation and pics right?!?

Of course not. NOW ONTO VOCALOID VIDEOS.

(and this is why I have no fans)

GUMI is getting a lot of popularity it seems these days. Is it because her birthday is coming up? Or because GUMI extend is coming out?

This current song, "Sky's Wings", is #1 on the vocaloid charts right now. I honestly think its a few of the same tones repeating over and over again, but maybe the lyrics mean something. Still its a decent enough song and its by GUMI. The vocals were done pretty well I think. And the guitar. Maybe its the guitar. :V

Uh, classic yuri gothloli ero themed song... yea... can't say much more about that. Not sure about the kanji in this title (maybe "hurt animal"?) And the katakana... looks like "Labyrinth". :V I think its still pretty catchy.

Somehow, this song has an "asian" feel to it. Or maybe I just hear too many asian songs with this kind of theme to it. Kind of a neat song regardless though. "Sakura" something? probably has to do something with sound, judging by the radical.

HAHAHA THIS AMUSED ME. What I was really impressed about this PV is that, previously GUMI did a similar themed song, however this one takes a satirical alternate route and appears to discuss the difference between online and offline personalities (whereas I wasn't really sure -- or don't remember -- what kind of view GUMI was taking). In any case both are intriguing videos, this one being more amusing while the other being more sad.
some girl vs some girl. I should really go and google translate all of this but I'm lazy right now. Maybe people will post comments and translate them for me! :V If you do: thanks I appreciate it!
