And yes Moe GUMI is Moe. :V
EDIT: Hmm. If this is all you can see then maybe I should save and reupload. For the good pictures, anyway. But all of you guys should be having a PixIV account anyway >:O So I think, for anyone who really wants to see, IM me and I'll teach you how to get a pixIV account. Or send you the pic. :V But most of you guys probably won't care :D~

Damn research, telling us now that recessions make us healthier!!
...I want to get grants doing research like this! :(

Atmospheric Data
This is really awesome. I'm not really a person that deals with the atmosphere but I can say as a person who returns to Shanghai every 2 years that the pollution -- and the humidity -- there is terrible. In that respect I really support anything that analyzes the atmosphere and pollution in China and hopefully, find ways to improve it. Because the saddest reason not to go back to Shanghai is just because of its weather. :V
That, and trying to improve China international relations, go!
Windows 7
I heard Windows 7 was awesome and all that, but now I really want the japanese version for whatever reason. I can't imagine why.
Oh, Japan.
http://zepy.momotato.com/2009/09/24/pay-1000-yen-to-get-slapped-in-the-face-by-a-girl/#more-2989
I know I hear everywhere that Japan is a misogynist society, but it looks to me that men are totally being exploited by an ever growing feminine power. I don't know what these feminists are saying when they want to ban eroge! Or maybe they are banning certain types to make others more prominent... like, the ones where girls act like this... so poor guys who missed out on childhood events like this or want to reminiscence those days get taken advantage of...
OMG ITS A CONSPIRACY

Nyan Nyan~!
how Luka can steal Gumi's song and sound so!!!
...digitized.
:V That aside Luka's voice really doesn't suit this song, its all GUMI...
Oh, Research.
"Evolutionary biology: Well endowed
BIOLOGY LETTERS/THE ROYAL SOCIETY 2009
Biol. Lett. doi:10.1098/rsbl.2009.0637 (2009)
The wide variation in male genitalia size in animals is thought to have evolved mostly in response to selection pressures that come into play during or after copulation and increase the male's share of paternity.
But it seems that females of the mosquito-fish Gambusia holbrooki choose mates before copulation on the basis of the size of their genitalia — and for them, bigger is better. Andrew Kahn and his team at the Australian National University in Canberra tested female preference for males that had had their genitalia considerably reduced in size by surgery (pictured, bottom) compared with those with only a minor reduction (pictured, top). They found that females spent, on average, around one-and-a-half times longer associating with the better-endowed males."
Really, research can be quite fun(ny) sometimes. :V Obviously we want to pay money to read this kind of exciting study!
"vs. Capcom" Title Competition Thingy
OF COURSE the title needs to be "Key vs. Capcom". Yes, Mugen already has that, but then it can be OFFICIAL!! That and Clannad chars would be nice too.
...along with a whole "Dude, WTF?" reaction by the rest of America.
EDIT: On second thought, Vocaloid vs. Capcom would be awesome too.

Lies!
Hmm well irony aside I don't see too much meaning in this research... well maybe it will give the people strict to morals a wakeup call or something but, interesting research!
...maybe moreso if we don't think about what the funding can be going to instead! :V

Anya Pie
IT IS DELICIOUS PIE.
YOU MUST EAT IT.
I have a smaller version of the longer version if anyone wants, since that's the resolution I have for my laptop, but for other resolutions, too bad. :V
...
Okay not really if you really want it I'll resize it for you. :<
Image Credit: Anya goes to a super cool artist who I don't know the name of (BUT I HAVE A HARD COPY FROM SOME CHINESE MOE MAGAZINE!), the pie is from ABC superstation (who would have thought they had orange pie recipes), and the lace to myself because NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE GOOD LACE CLIPART FOR WHATEVER REASON. :(

Auto-Recycle
Seems a bit far-fetched to me imo right now, but if they can get something on with it it could be a pretty nifty thing.
Although, I think the idea might just die out a couple years later. Not trying to be pessimistic, but... it needs more "OMG THIS IS AWESOME"ness. It has the potential!

Showers
Most people probably can't read the article because its in Nature, but basically it says that non-tuberculosis mycobacteria live in showerheads and the bacteria can be harmful to immunodeficient people and that chlorine and soap only serve to eliminate competition so bugs like these can grow instead!
What a nice thought.

The Sahara Forest...WHAT?
Um, I'm all for science and trying to solve climate change, but... The Sahara Desert is an ecosystem in of itself, I think this is probably NOT the best idea... so my limited environmentalist conscience tells me...

FEAR
Neuroscience: Fear net
When adult rats are trained to associate a sound with an electric shock, they will often fear that sound for a lifetime. Young rats, however, can erase the fear memory when it is no longer relevant.
Andreas Lüthi, Cyril Herry and their colleagues at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research in Basel, Switzerland, found that the reason for the shift may be the development of the perineuronal net, an extracellular protein lattice that surrounds a subset of neurons as rats mature. When the authors used an enzyme to dissolve the perineuronal net in the amygdala, a crucial brain region for forming fear memories, they found that adult rats could wipe away the memory of the shock as if they were young.
The potential of this seems pretty high, assuming they get anything out of the work. Consider a drug that can help dissolve the net and make people overcome fear of... almost anything. Shows like Oprah may come to an end, oh no!!!

GuMMD
This Gumi's Seikan Hisou singing isn't that great, and the dancing is pretty atrocious (extremely choppy, not smooth at all) but this Gumi model is SOOOOOO CUTE
I saw some of it on PixIV and thought it was awesome so of course this is needed. :V
GuMiKu
The character designs! The moe the moe the MOE!!!!
Also, for whatever reason this song reminds me of Baroque classical music. Plus traditional Japanese music. It must be the harpsichord-sounding chorus thingy in the background.
