A good read imo. Also imo, I think in a completely different light, this proves that people in the western world CAN match up to the Japanese in terms of animation/visual novel quality if they wish it to be, which is kind of encouraging in itself.

Seriously though, it's not hard to think that people around here can produce something of comparable quality as more mainstream Japanese VNs. JP production isn't untouchable and neither is it infallible. They have plenty of issues of questionable quality (for example, programming and compression) in their own products that just tend to be ignored by their audience.
There are people everywhere - not just in NA - that are just as talented and passionate about creating things as the Japanese are. And most importantly, a lot of those talented people have just as much free time to devote to little pet projects such as this. :P
